THE SANCTUARY
ON LAKE WYLIE

Average Preserve is five acres!
Encompassing over 1,300 heavily forested acres on Lake Wylie in Mecklenburg County only minutes to downtown Charlotte, N.C.,
the Sanctuary
is a nature reserve community of fewer than 200 homesites, which have been dubbed “Private Preserves” due to their size. Average home
prices are from $650,000 to over $3,000,000 not including lot cost.
They range from more than two to 13 acres, with the average being more than five acres.

Nearly 25 percent of the Private Preserves are waterfront. All are part of a land plan created with Audubon International’s certification
for the preservation of wildlife, habitat and water quality.

Harmony with the environment
In conservation partnership with Audubon International, Crescent Communities has made environmental sensitivity paramount at the Sanctuary.
To protect the lake, each Preserve has a 200-foot “conservation corridor.” This is four times what the county requires, an unprecedented
example of the Sanctuary’s commitment to the land and its wildlife.

To complement these efforts, the community’s Builders Guild is applying the same environmental consciousness and natural aesthetic
to homes in the Sanctuary.

Amenities at the Sanctuary were also founded on an appreciation of nature. Twenty miles of nature trails lead to meditation areas
and wilderness parks. The Camp features the John James Audubon Lodge where the Activities Director and Naturalist can be found
and is where residents can requisition ski boats, canoes and kayaks.

Leave the stress behind, but not the convenience
Residents of the Sanctuary enjoy a peaceful, secluded atmosphere that make it easy to forget the pace of modern life.

But, when they’re ready for shopping, dining and entertainment, it’s just a short drive away. And, residents at the Sanctuary have the
opportunity to become equity golf members at the nearby and prestigious Ballantyne Country Club.

Build at your own pace …
At the Sanctuary, space and time are the ultimate amenities. Buyers have the opportunity to create a retreat that will become a family
 homestead for generations.

Owners can build at their own pace. In fact, many may choose to start with a small guest house in which they can live before moving on
to their main home, additional guest houses for children, parents, family and friends, work-at-home offices or art studios.

Gated entrances to Private Preserves are welcomed and encouraged.
